We at Magowan Tyres conform to the BS AU 159f in repairs to tyres for motor vehicles used on the public highway.
In the course of its life, a tyre may be subjected to an enormous amount of use, and may be damaged in many ways. It is imperative that the work of repairing a tyre is entrusted only to competent companies that accept total responsibility for the repair, after careful specialist examination to decide whether or not a repair is possible.
All tyre repairs at Magowan Tyres are completed to the latest British Standard BS AU 159f and the conditions for tyre repair are strictly governed.
Tyre repairs will only be carried out following a thorough examination and will always be performed by an Magowan Tyres approved repairer to the appropriate British Standards.
Tyres subject to the following kinds of damage are not repairable:
| - Visible or deformed bead wire
- Rubber or tread separations
- Deterioration of the tyre caused by grease or corrosive fluid
- Marking of the interior rubber caused by overheating due to under inflation
- Damage larger than regulations will allow
