Every day in Britain around 100,000 worn tyres are removed from cars, vans and trucks, adding up to around 40 million end-of-life tyres every year. Since 2006 it has been illegal to dispose of used tyres in landfill sites and to comply with European legislation, retailers, like us, must pay to correctly dispose of used tyres. But what other responsibilities are there around waste tyres?
